Beth McLeod, age 84 of Fingal, ND died Friday April 5, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday April 10th at Messiah Lutheran Church in Fingal, ND with Rev. Brad Edin officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM until 7 PM Tuesday at Messiah Church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM.

Beth Ann Ramstad McLeod was born May 24, 1928, rural Hunter, ND to Julina Montieth Ramstad and Emil Ramstad. She lived in the Hunter area until moving to Erie, ND at the age of 10. Her father died when she was 14 so she became the driver for the family. She worked on relative's farms growing up. She married Ronald McLeod Dec. 29, 1947 in Hunter. They lived the for 7 years as Ronnie worked at the Security State Bank. She took care of her bedridden mother for 5 years while living in Hunter.

Carl William Sweeten, 71, West Fargo, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Carl W. Sweeten was born on September 20, 1941, to Alfred and Alva Sweeten in Tacoma, WA. Carl spent his childhood in Ft. Lewis, WA.

Carl graduated from Franklin High in Seattle, WA with a class of 500. He sang a solo of "Unchanged Melody" at graduation. He was married to Janet Harvey, Seattle, WA for a period of time.

Barbara Ann Malme was born December 28, 1948, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Kenny and Kay (Johnson) Malme. She attended schools in the Shelly, MN, area, and graduated from Halstad (MN) High school in 1966.

Barb attended Moorhead (MN) State College and Weber Data Processing, Fargo. She married Wayne Tronnes in June of 1970. They lived and raised their two sons, Matt and Tyler, in rural Shelly. Barb married Orris Moen on March 16, 2002.

Nancy J. Nelson, 58, Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, April 8, 2013, in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, following a challenging battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Nancy Jean Mathiason was born on March 7, 1955, in Minneapolis, MN, to Shirley and Eileen (Knutson) Mathiason. She grew up and attended school in Richfield, MN, where she graduated from high school. She graduated from Mankato State College and began her career teaching high school home economics in Erskine, MN. Nancy was next employed by the University of Minnesota as an Extension Agent in Warren, MN, where she met her future husband, David Nelson. She attended the University of North Dakota, where she earned her Master's Degree. Nancy married David Nelson on October 25, 1986, in Richfield, MN. They established their home in Warren, MN. In 1992, they moved to Moorhead, where she became the first full-time Community Resource Extension Agent in the state. She enjoyed working with the local businesses in the communities that she served. In 1994, Nancy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and retired for health reasons in 2002.

Thelma I. Wilner passed away peacefully on April 8, 2013, in Viking Manor, Ulen, MN, where she has resided since 2000.

Thelma Ilene Snippen was born May 29, 1914. She spent her youth with her parents and siblings in Roseglen, ND. She married Donald Wilner on June 9, 1940. They lived on a farm near Tower City, ND, until 1968, when they moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Richard Bruce Andersen, 53, of West Fargo, ND formerly of California died suddenly in his home March 22, 2013.

Richard was a special gift born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1959 to Bruce and Donna Andersen in La Puente, California. He was the third of three children and the only son. He attended Charter Oak High School in California. He served in the US Army from 1977-1980 and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. He worked as a diesel mechanic for 34 years. Although Richard lived mainly in California he moved to North Dakota in 2007. Rick enjoyed fishing, hunting, and driving motor cycle. He especially loved spending time with his family and dear friend Andrew Fernett. Rick had a sweet tooth and enjoyed eating Smarties, Reese's and Kit-Kats. He dreamed of meeting his new grandson Bryce, born January 24. He wished to visit the White House in Washington DC and Mount Rushmore in SD. He had a warm heart. He was a strong, proud man that loved to stay busy. His family will miss the way he joked around with them. He will always be remembered for being an awesome mechanic, a Number 1 man and best dad in the world.

Paul Lee, age 64, resident of Aneta, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Paul was born November 13, 1948 in Sharon, ND the son of Julius and Tilda (Franklin) Lee. He grew up in Aneta and graduated from Aneta High School in 1966 where he was active in sports. He attended Mayville State University and graduated from NDSU in 1970 with a Business Economics degree. Paul farmed with his father for a number of years. In recent years, he operated his own independent specialized farming business based in Aneta.

Betty Jean Stone died April 16, 2013 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo. She was born on July 23, 1923 at Barnesville, MN to David Vannet and Ethel (Reynolds) Pender. After graduating from Hawley High School, Betty moved to Seattle, WA. While working at Boeing, she met her future husband, Robert R. Stone. They were married on December 24, 1942. When the war ended they moved to Fargo, ND. In 1954, Betty began employment at ND Blue Cross Blue Shield where she worked for thirty years as a claims supervisor. She volunteered for various groups including; the American Legion Auxiliary, the VA, Meritcare Auxiliary, Elim Nursing Home and her church. Betty was an avid card and bingo player. She gave freely of her time and money to others without expecting anything in return. She will be greatly missed as a giving mother, grandmother, sibling and friend.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Violet and Evelyn; and brothers, Ellis and David. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Jan), and Bradley (Lynda) Stone; and her daughter, Barbara (Jack) Neubauer; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.

Oscar W. Anderson, 88, died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Golden Living Care Center in Moorhead, MN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Colin Grangaard officiating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery, Barnesville, MN.
