Lorine married Reginald Holschuh on December 27, 1947 (her birthday) and they made their home in Minneapolis where their four children were born. In 1957 they moved to Moorhead where she spent her time raising her family. Beyond her family, she loved music and was an accomplished musician, playing the trumpet, the accordion, the piano, and the organ. She cherished her Norwegian heritage, joining the Sons of Norway, volunteering at their lunches, taking Norwegian language classes, and traveling twice to Norway. Lorine was known and loved by many for her optimism, warmth, and kindness.
