Laverne Stanley Schlosser, 87, died the evening of Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Laverne was born Sept. 19, 1926 in LaBolt, South Dakota, son of Nicholas and Edna (Geisler) Schlosser; they later moved to Dickey, ND. After high school graduation he honorably served in the US Army during WWII first spending time in the Philippines as an investigator and later aboard the ships entering Japan.
