Joyce Heley, 65 of Lidgerwood, ND passed away September 1, 2013 surrounded by her family at her home, rural Lidgerwood, ND, under the care of Riveredge Hospice. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Lidgerwood, ND with Fr. Robert Smith as celebrant with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Lidgerwood. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at St. Boniface Church. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the mass at the church. Pallbearers are: Brad Mattson, Kevin Rolstad, Bill Illies, Randy Heley, Scott Heley & Darryl Jelinek. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren. Joyce Bernardine Herding Heley was born June 6, 1948 in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Louis & Susanna (Bach) Herding. She grew up on a farm outside of Hankinson, ND and graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1965. She married the love of her life, David Heley on September 30, 1967 at St. Philip's Catholic Church, Hankinson. She worked side by side with Dave, with many great memories on the family farm raising livestock and helping in the fields. She worked at Imation in Wahpeton for 13 years and Dakota Magic Convention Center for several years once the children were grown.
