Marion Crompton, age 85, of Ada, MN formerly of Borup, MN died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Bridges Care Community in Ada. Marion Lucille Olson, daughter of Oscar and Lucy (Babler) Olson, was born on January 21, 1928 in Ada, MN. She grew up on a farm near Borup, MN and attended Borup High School. Following her graduation in 1946, Marion moved to Rochester, MN for a time. She returned to the Borup area in late 1948 and was united in marriage to Tommy Crompton on December 28, 1950. The couple made their first home on a farm near Borup and in 1966 moved into town. While raising her children, Marion worked for a short time at the Borup bank before beginning her career at The Borup High School. She served as Secretary to the Superintendent for nearly 33 years. Following Tommy's death in 2002, Marion continued to live at home until 2009 when she entered Bridges Care Community.
