Palmer A. Amundson Jr., age 86 of Waubun, MN, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fargo, ND. Palmer Arnold was born July 18, 1926, the son of Palmer A. and Anna (Boutto) Amundson Sr. in Virginia, MN. He grew up near Virginia and graduated high school from Cook, MN. Following high school, Palmer worked in the mines before entering the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge, Palmer attended college in California for airplane mechanics. He then moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked for Northwest Airlines as a mechanic. Palmer met Laurena Brehm and they were united in marriage on September 2, 1952, in Minneapolis.
