Ardell Skeim, 87, of Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Ardell was born February 27, 1925, in Alberta, Canada, to Albert and Mabel (Lund) Lomsdal. Ardell moved to Ulen, MN, when she was 17. On December 1, 1944, Ardell married Arnold Skeim in Ulen. Together they made their home in Moorhead for a few years before moving to Dilworth, MN. Ardell worked at the Super Valu Warehouse in Fargo as well as Freddy's Lefse Bakery for several years. She loved making lefse and always had it ready at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Ardell and Arnold moved to their lake home when he retired. She loved spending time at their lake home and did so until later moving to Moorhead, where she had most recently resided. Arnold passed away in September of 1997. Ardell is survived by her son, Larry of Moorhead; daughter, Darlene of Holland, TX; grandchildren, Dale, Tami, Rene (Charlene), and Dion. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; brother, Doug Lomsdal; sister, Shirley (Joe) Matula; and several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Gert Lomsdal.
